Fanoush: Dbeibah Has Lost His Legitimacy… and We Must Prepare for the Post-Dbeibah Phase

⚠️ Tripoli | Fanoush: Dbeibah Has Lost His Legitimacy and Offered Libya’s Wealth to Remain in Power

Libya – Political analyst Abdul Hakim Fanoush stated that the head of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, has lost any legitimacy he once claimed—particularly following the resignation of the majority of his ministers. Fanoush emphasized that Libya must now prepare for a post-Dbeibah phase.

🔹 Militia Protection Prevents Him from Stepping Down
Speaking on the Al-Mashhad Al-Laylah program broadcast by Al-Mashhad channel and platform, Fanoush explained that Dbeibah is unlikely to give up power voluntarily, as the armed militias protecting him view his removal as a threat to their own presence and influence in Tripoli.

🔹 Deep Disagreements with the Presidential Council 🏛️
He also highlighted growing tensions between the Presidential Council and the Dbeibah government, stating that Dbeibah assumed power through illegitimate channels and continues to resist any peaceful transition.

🔹 Bartering to Stay in Power 💰
According to Fanoush, Dbeibah is willing to make significant concessions to cling to power. He revealed that Dbeibah offered the United States half of Libya’s frozen assets in exchange for political support. Additionally, he allegedly agreed to a proposal to host one million Palestinian refugees from Gaza inside Libya.
