Expanded meeting to follow up on armed forces readiness
LIBYA – Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Lt Gen Saddam Haftar has held an expanded meeting with the armed forces’ service chiefs of staff at his office at the General Command headquarters in Benghazi.

The meeting was attended by the chiefs of staff of the Land Forces, the Air Defence Forces, the Border Guard Forces, the Naval Forces, the Air Force and the Security Units.
Development plans and advanced training programmes
The meeting reviewed progress within the staff commands of the armed forces’ service branches and comprehensive development plans that include advanced training programmes to raise efficiency and strengthen unit readiness.
Stronger coordination between units
Lt Gen Saddam Haftar praised the efforts of the service chiefs of staff, stressing the importance of strengthening coordination between the various units and continuing to implement advanced training programmes to enhance the armed forces’ ability to carry out their duties of protecting the country and safeguarding its security and stability.
