Emphasis on deep Egyptian-Libyan relations
The spokesman for Egypt’s Presidency said the meeting reflected the special fraternal ties between Egypt and Libya. President Sisi affirmed that Libya’s stability is an integral part of Egypt’s national security, noting that Egypt exerts maximum efforts—coordinating with Libyan parties and the General Command of the Libyan Army—to support security, stability and Libya’s unity, and to restore its development path.
Support for comprehensive political initiatives
During the meeting, Sisi stressed Egypt’s support for all initiatives aimed at achieving security and stability. He expressed his keenness on the unity of Libya’s state institutions and called for enhanced coordination among Libyan parties to establish a comprehensive political roadmap enabling simultaneous presidential and parliamentary elections.
Rejection of foreign interference and support for counter-terrorism
Sisi also emphasized the need to confront external interference and to withdraw all foreign forces and mercenaries from Libyan territory. He expressed appreciation for the national role played by the Libyan Army in counter-terrorism, especially in the east of the country.

Field Marshal Haftar praised Egypt’s pivotal role in restoring security and stability in Libya, commending its continuous support for the Libyan people since the outbreak of the crisis and its effective contribution in transferring its developmental experience and the expertise of Egyptian companies.
