Al-Soul says the House of Representatives remains cohesive
LIBYA – House of Representatives member Ali Al-Soul has said the House is cohesive and ruled out any split in the legislature.
Unified institutions and elections
In comments to Al-Masar television, Al-Soul said the new Presidency Bureau and House members aspire to stability and to holding elections under a unified executive authority and institutions, while reviewing and adopting legislation that serves the public interest.
Reshaping the committees
He said the Presidency Bureau would begin reshaping a number of committees, including those on national reconciliation and anti-corruption, and expected changes to the House’s standing committees.
He added that the House leadership would work to take decisions and pass laws that serve the state and the people, while opening up to national dialogues and holding them inside Libya.
