Opening export channels for Romanian products to Libya
LIBYA – An economic report by the Romanian English-language site Informat said six veterinary health certificates had been signed, enabling the export of live animals and Romanian food products of animal origin to the Libyan market.
Romanian authority announces an official trade framework
The report, followed and summarised by Al-Marsad, said Romania’s National Sanitary Veterinary and Food Safety Authority (ANSVSA) confirmed that the six certificates provided an official framework for trade in specific categories of animals and food products.
Sheep, goats, cattle and meat
The certificates cover the export of live sheep, goats and cattle, meat and offal and products from the livestock sector, as well as poultry, fish and products derived from them.
Health rules and product traceability
The agreements set the import conditions for these goods, including compliance with animal health and food safety standards and the ability to trace products through the supply chain.
No estimates of volumes or delivery dates
The report said the Romanian authority had not announced an estimated value for the exports or a timetable for the first shipments.
