KBR strengthens its presence in Libya’s energy sector
LIBYA – An economic report has highlighted the US engineering company KBR’s efforts to expand its operations in Libya and explore opportunities in renewable and clean energy.
Local office and contracts in oil, gas and refining
The report, published by the Nigerian English-language site Business Insider Africa and summarised by Al-Marsad, said the company had strengthened its on-the-ground presence in the country by opening a local office and moving ahead with contracts in the oil, gas and refining sectors.
Modernising infrastructure and green energy
The report noted that the move is part of broader efforts to modernise national energy infrastructure and establish renewable-energy projects in Libya, with a focus on green energy.
