Official records confirm teachers’ arrears data was referred
LIBYA – The Ministry of Education in the Libyan Government has denied claims circulating on social media that municipal education control offices are responsible for the delay in paying teachers’ salary arrears because they were allegedly late in referring data on the amounts owed.
Handover documents prove the data was referred
In a statement received by Al-Marsad, the ministry said the published information was inaccurate and did not reflect the actual procedures. It said the education control offices had referred the arrears data to the competent authorities in line with approved administrative procedures, backed by official documents and records proving handover and receipt.
Offices must not be blamed without evidence
The ministry stressed its commitment to setting the record straight for the public and the education community, and said the education control offices should not be held responsible for the delay without reference to the facts and official documents.
