High-level Bahraini delegation visits General Command in Benghazi

LIBYA – The Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces, Lt Gen Saddam Haftar, received a high-level delegation from the Kingdom of Bahrain, headed by Sheikh Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, representing the Kingdom, at General Command headquarters in Benghazi.

Greetings from Bahrain’s King and Crown Prince

According to the media office of the General Command, the head of the delegation conveyed the greetings and appreciation of Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa to the Commander-in-Chief, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, and to the Libyan people, affirming the Kingdom of Bahrain’s support for efforts aimed at achieving stability and prosperity in Libya.

Appreciation for Bahrain’s positions towards Libya

For his part, Deputy Commander-in-Chief Lt Gen Saddam Haftar welcomed the visiting delegation, expressing his appreciation for the Kingdom of Bahrain, for the King and the Crown Prince, and for the Bahraini people, and valuing the Kingdom’s positions towards Libya.

Shared issues and support for the UN track

The two sides discussed a number of issues of shared interest, and affirmed support for international efforts under the auspices of the United Nations Mission in Libya aimed at unifying institutions as a prelude to holding the elections to which the Libyan people aspire.
