Technical review of exploration projects and budget
LIBYA – The Exploration Department of the National Oil Corporation (NOC) held its second annual technical meeting of 2026 with Zallaf for Exploration, Production and Refining of Oil and Gas at the corporation’s headquarters in Tripoli, attended by specialists and technical staff from both sides and representatives of the Petroleum Research Centre.
Assessing progress on approved plans
According to the NOC media office, the meeting reviewed the exploration activities and programmes carried out during the current year and how far approved work-plan targets had been met, and discussed the exploration projects and programmes proposed for 2027.
2027 budget and project requirements
Participants discussed next year’s estimated budget and the technical and financial requirements for carrying out exploration projects, with the aim of helping raise production rates, develop reserves and improve the chances of finding new oil and gas resources, in line with the corporation’s strategic objectives.
