Raid on a drug den in Kufra
LIBYA – The Subul Al-Salam Infantry Brigade, which reports to the Land Forces General Staff, has carried out a security operation in the city of Kufra targeting a hideout used by drug and contraband dealers, seizing more than 1.3 million narcotic pills that the brigade described as dangerous types.
Exchange of fire leaves three members injured
The raid involved an exchange of fire with smugglers, which left three members of the brigade injured, and several people suspected of involvement in smuggling were arrested during the operation.
Pursuing smuggling networks in the city and on the border
The operation is part of the brigade’s stated efforts to pursue drug and contraband smuggling networks inside and outside Kufra and to tackle illegal activities, with the aim of strengthening security and stability in the city and border areas.
