Deputy General Commander Saddam Haftar discusses cooperation in Ankara with Turkish foreign and defence ministers and chief of general staff
Libya – Deputy General Commander of the Libyan Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Saddam Haftar, has paid an official visit to the Republic of Turkey, during which he met Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Ankara.
Discussion of joint files and regional developments
During the meeting, the two sides discussed a number of issues of mutual interest and reviewed developments in the regional situation, in addition to exploring prospects for bilateral cooperation in a way that serves the interests of both countries.
Meeting with Turkey’s defence minister in Ankara
The Deputy General Commander also met Turkish Defence Minister Yasar Guler at the Ministry of Defence in the capital, Ankara, where the two sides discussed the latest developments on the international stage and ways to strengthen joint military cooperation, in a manner that contributes to addressing security challenges and supporting efforts to promote security and stability in the region.

Turkey’s Chief of the General Staff, Selcuk Bayraktar, also received Lieutenant General Saddam Haftar in Ankara, as part of the series of official meetings he held during the visit.
