Saddam Haftar Meets Greek Prime Minister in Athens to Discuss Cooperation and Illegal Migration
Libya – Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Armed Forces, General Saddam Haftar, met Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis in Athens during an official visit to the Hellenic Republic.
Strengthening Bilateral Relations
The meeting addressed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries and expand cooperation in the security, military and economic fields, in addition to exchanging views on a number of regional and international issues of mutual concern.
Illegal Migration File
The two sides also discussed the steps required to curb illegal migration, within the framework of joint coordination on files that directly affect regional security and stability.
Greetings from Haftar to Mitsotakis
During the meeting, General Saddam Haftar conveyed the greetings of the Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Armed Forces, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, to the Greek prime minister and the Greek people.

For his part, Prime Minister Mitsotakis expressed his high appreciation for Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar and his role in maintaining security and stability in Libya, as well as the impact of that role on regional security.
