Parliamentary condemnation of the attack and solidarity with Jordan
LIBYA – House of Representatives Speaker Salehin Abdulnabi has sent a letter of condolence to Mazen Turki Al-Qadi, Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, following the terrorist attack on a church in Jordan’s Karak Governorate that left a number of people dead and wounded.
Condemnation of attacks on places of worship and civilians
In his letter, issued from Benghazi, the Speaker expressed deep sorrow over the attack, condemning what he described as a cowardly criminal act that targets places of worship and civilians and seeks to undermine Jordan’s security and stability.
Abdulnabi affirmed, in his own name and on behalf of the members of the House of Representatives and the Libyan people, full solidarity with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan — its leadership, government, parliament and people — stressing that Libya stands by Jordan against anything that threatens its security and stability.
Condolences to the victims’ families and wishes for the wounded
The Speaker extended his deepest condolences and sympathy to his Jordanian counterpart, the victims’ families and the Jordanian people as a whole, praying for a swift recovery for the wounded and for God to protect the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and its people from all harm.
