Message of condolence and solidarity to Jordan

LIBYA – Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Lt Gen Saddam Haftar has offered his condolences to Jordan’s King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein, the Crown Prince, the Jordanian government and people, and the families of the victims of Friday’s attack in Karak Governorate, affirming his solidarity with the kingdom.

Condemnation of the attack and confidence that the perpetrators will be pursued

Lt Gen Saddam Haftar condemned in the strongest terms what he described as a heinous crime, involving the shedding of innocent blood and the violation of the sanctity of places of worship. He stressed that he stood with Jordan in confronting terrorism and protecting its security and stability, and expressed confidence in the ability of Jordan’s institutions to pursue those behind the attack and bring them to justice.

Brotherly ties between the two peoples

“The brotherly ties that bind the Libyan and Jordanian peoples make Jordan’s loss a loss for us all, and the hand of treachery and sedition will not undermine the unity and cohesion of the Jordanian people, nor their resolve to confront extremism and terrorism,” Lt Gen Saddam Haftar said.
