Al-Naas calls for moving mini-dialogue understandings from agreement to implementation
Libya – House of Representatives member Abdul Nasser Al-Naas said the resumption of meetings of the “4+4” mini-dialogue committee was a positive step to continue implementing the understandings, supporting an end to the split, the unification of state institutions and progress toward elections.
Completing the legal frameworks
Speaking to Al-Masar TV, Al-Naas said the House’s adoption of the agreement was an important step toward completing the legislative and legal frameworks and advancing the political process. He added that the “4+4” deal provides a political framework to push the electoral process and strengthen consensus and trust among Libyan institutions and parties, saying the priority now is to move to implementation, address outstanding files and support the elections commission.
Libyan responsibility with supportive international backing
He stressed that international support is a backing factor, while primary responsibility for implementing the understandings rests with Libyan institutions and parties. Success in the next phase, he said, requires prioritising dialogue and consensus, respecting the role of institutions, and preserving Libya’s unity and stability.
