Support signatures could lift agreement between the two chambers above 70%
Libya – House of Representatives member Aisha Al-Tabalqi said the House will work to enshrine the mini dialogue committee’s “4+4” deal in the constitutional declaration after it is adopted.
State Council split and gathering signatures
Al-Tabalqi told Al-Masar TV, in remarks followed by Al-Marsad, that the High State Council is divided over the deal, pointing to the possibility of collecting signatures from members who support and approve it, which would, in her estimate, achieve more than 70% agreement between the two chambers.
Ending the split and moving toward elections
She said achieving that agreement would mark progress in the political process and help end the split, unify state institutions and move toward holding elections.
