Libyan–Jordanian health cooperation to develop medical staff and institutions
LIBYA – Libyan Government Health Ministry Undersecretary-General Abdulsalam Aqeela met Jordanian Health Minister Ibrahim Al-Bdour to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation between the two countries and to advance several health-sector priorities, above all the training and qualification of medical and allied health professionals, professional development, hospital management, and better health services.
Expanding cooperation between health and academic institutions
The meeting covered opportunities to expand cooperation between health and academic institutions, and to draw on Jordan’s experience in building and developing health institutions and raising staff efficiency.
Jordanian readiness to exchange expertise
Jordan’s health minister affirmed the ministry’s readiness to broaden cooperation with the Libyan Government Health Ministry and to exchange expertise and knowledge to help develop health professionals and institutions.
Visit within health-sector development priorities
The Health Ministry undersecretary-general said the visit forms part of the ministry’s drive to carry out health-sector development priorities and benefit from specialised experience, helping raise the efficiency of institutions and staff and improve services for citizens.
Meetings with Jordanian health and academic bodies
The Health Ministry delegation’s visit includes meetings with officials and health and academic bodies in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, to review recent experience and discuss cooperation on training, qualification and health-services development.
