Haftar Congratulates Armed Forces Personnel and Libyan People on 12th Anniversary of Operation Dignity

Libya – The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, and his deputy, Lieutenant General Saddam Haftar, extended their warmest congratulations to members of the Armed Forces and to the Libyan people, across all social components and throughout the country, on the 12th anniversary of Operation Dignity.

Remembering the Sacrifices of the Martyrs

In a message published by the General Command’s media office, Field Marshal Haftar said the national occasion serves as a moment to recall the sacrifices of men who remained true to their pledge.

He paid tribute with deep reverence to the martyrs who gave their blood in defence of Libya, its security, and stability, reaffirming loyalty to their path and commitment to following in their footsteps.

A Historic Turning Point in Building the Military Institution

Haftar said Operation Dignity represented a historic turning point in the process of building the military institution on firm foundations of discipline and professionalism.

He described it as a solid nucleus for a unified national army capable of protecting the homeland, safeguarding its sovereignty, and contributing to the consolidation of security and stability.

Continuing the Path of Development and Modernisation

Field Marshal Haftar affirmed that the Armed Forces would continue moving forward on the path of construction, development, and capacity-building, in a manner that serves the project of building a modern Libya.

He said this vision seeks to establish a strong, unified state governed by solid institutions, where security and prosperity prevail.

Deputy Commander-in-Chief Extends Congratulations

For his part, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Lieutenant General Saddam Haftar extended, via his official “Facebook” page, his sincere congratulations to Commander-in-Chief Khalifa Haftar and to all members of the Armed Forces on what he described as an enduring national occasion.

He said the anniversary embodied the sacrifices of Armed Forces personnel and supporting youth from various regions, who stood in defence of the homeland and worked to restore its security and stability.

Saddam Haftar also congratulated the Libyan people on an anniversary he said marked a defining moment in the country’s history, reflecting the will of Libyans to confront terrorism and chaos and move towards building a strong and secure state, with a national army committed to defending the homeland, protecting its people, and safeguarding its resources.

Loyalty to Sacrifice and Defence of Sovereignty

The Deputy Commander-in-Chief paid tribute to the martyrs who gave their lives in defence of the homeland, praying for the swift recovery of the wounded and stressing that their sacrifices would remain forever present in the national conscience.

He said Operation Dignity would remain a national memory and a symbol of steadfastness and sacrifice, renewing the pledge to preserve Libya’s security and stability, safeguard its unity and sovereignty, and work for a future worthy of the Libyan people and the sacrifices of their sons.
