Italian delegation returns to Benghazi shortly
Libya – An English-language news report published by the Italian news agency Italpress said an Italian trade delegation is returning to Benghazi on 28 September.
Experts in restoration, engineering and construction
The report, which Al-Marsad followed and translated key points from, said the delegation includes Nicola Colicchi, president of the Italian-Libyan Chamber of Commerce, and its director Francesco Muraca, along with representatives of companies and specialists in restoration, engineering and construction.
Field inspections with the Reconstruction Fund
The report added that members of the delegation will carry out field inspections of sites in cooperation with engineers from the Libya Development and Reconstruction Fund, noting that the visit comes a few weeks after the international exhibition accompanying the Global Competitive Initiative for Urban Planning in Benghazi.
According to the report, these inspections form part of ongoing discussions with the Libya Development and Reconstruction Fund on restoring Benghazi’s historic city centre.
