Mellitah Rehabilitates Well R-3 at Al-Rimal Field as Output Reaches 3,026 Barrels of Oil a Day
LIBYA – Mellitah Oil and Gas Company has completed maintenance and rehabilitation works on oil well R-3 at the Al-Rimal field after carrying out a full technical programme that included replacing completion equipment, re-perforating the targeted formations, and installing an electric submersible pump (ESP).
3,026 Barrels a Day; Wellhead Pressure at 310 psi
Initial operational tests showed encouraging results reflecting the success of the works and the effectiveness of the technical solutions applied. Daily crude oil production reached 3,026 barrels with the pump running at 50 Hz, while wellhead pressure stood at 310 pounds per square inch (psi).
Well Rehabilitation and Operating Efficiency
The National Oil Corporation (NOC) said the success of the work forms part of the company’s focus on rehabilitating wells, improving operating efficiency and maximising use of producing assets, with the aim of sustaining the production growth the NOC seeks to achieve.
It added that the achievement embodies cooperation and integration among technical teams and specialised departments.
