Memorandum of understanding at Sirte economic summit to strengthen technical oversight and apply international standards
Libya – The National Development Agency signed a memorandum of understanding with France’s Bureau Veritas on the sidelines of the Libyan-French Economic Summit for Investment and Development in Sirte, to deepen cooperation on quality assurance and control, inspection, technical verification and the application of international standards in the agency’s projects.
International testing and inspection expertise
Through its media office, the agency said the memorandum aims to draw on the company’s international expertise in testing, inspection and certification services, and to support the agency in raising quality, safety and compliance with standards and specifications in development and strategic projects.
Global firm founded in 1828
It noted that Bureau Veritas is among the world’s specialised institutions in these fields, founded in 1828 and operating through a wide international network.
A practical outcome of the Sirte summit
The agency said signing the memorandum is one of the practical outcomes of the Libyan-French economic summit, and fits its drive to widen partnerships with specialised international institutions and draw on French expertise to develop technical oversight mechanisms and ensure quality in project delivery.
