Research projects and technical results under review
LIBYA – The National Oil Corporation’s General Department of Oil Industries has met officials from the Petroleum Research Centre at the corporation’s headquarters in Tripoli to review the centre’s research projects, their completion rates and the technical results achieved, as well as the difficulties it faces and its technical and laboratory needs.
Linking research to companies’ needs and upgrading laboratories
NOC officials stressed the importance of directing scientific research towards the actual needs of the sector’s companies and linking its results to operational and production challenges, while developing laboratory capabilities and raising the efficiency of technical staff, in order to strengthen cooperation with the centre and improve the efficiency of operations.
The meeting was attended by the Director-General of the General Department of Oil Industries, the Director-General of the Petroleum Research Centre, and a number of directors and specialists from both sides.
