Teachers’ demands raised with the Speaker
LIBYA – House of Representatives Speaker Salehin Abdulnabi has discussed the latest developments in the education sector and demands from its staff with Education Minister Jumaa Khalifa of the Libyan government, during a meeting held in the Speaker’s office at the House of Representatives headquarters in Benghazi.
The meeting addressed teachers’ demands for better conditions, higher salaries and health insurance, so that they obtain what were described as their legitimate rights.
Speaker affirms teachers’ legitimate rights
Abdulnabi said he fully understood teachers’ demands and recognised the importance of the education sector, stressing that he was determined to see teachers receive all their legitimate rights.
