Water Company Readies Teams and Pumps for Expected Rain

Field plan to deal with the weather changes

LIBYA – The General Company for Water and Wastewater has announced that it is ready to deal with the weather changes expected next week, saying it has drawn up a work plan to organise its field teams and deploy rainwater suction trucks, drain-clearing equipment, pumps and support equipment according to priorities.

Preventive measures at sites most prone to flooding

In a letter to the Government of National Unity’s Minister of State, the company said preventive measures were under way, with priority given to critical points and sites that have flooded in the past, alongside checks on the readiness of pumping stations and rainwater and sewage drainage networks.
