UN meeting with Amazigh community representatives
Libya – The UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative for Libya, Hanna Tetteh, and her Deputy for Political Affairs, Stephanie Khoury, met Amazigh community representatives and notables on Wednesday, 16 September, as part of the mission’s outreach to Libyans to advance the political process after the mini-meeting agreement was signed.
Talks on elections and institutions
The meeting covered recent developments, the mini-meeting agreement and the outcomes of the structured dialogue, and the importance of following an inclusive path that leads to elections, the unification of institutions and sustainable stability in Libya.
Commitment to implementing the roadmap
Tetteh reiterated the mission’s commitment to working with Libyans across the political and social spectrum to implement the UN-facilitated roadmap, shape the next phase and create the conditions for transparent, inclusive and credible parliamentary and presidential elections.
