EUBAM Affirms It Is Continuing to Build Maritime Partnerships With Libya and Follow Up on Ongoing Projects and Initiatives
LIBYA – The European Union Border Assistance Mission in Libya (EUBAM) affirmed that it is continuing to build maritime partnerships with the Libyan side.
In a press statement monitored by Al-Marsad, the mission said its maritime affairs working sub-group held its eighth meeting at the Foreign Ministry of the Dbeibah government to assess ongoing maritime projects and follow up on key initiatives.
Talks With Diplomatic Actors, the Coast Guard, Ports and Customs
The statement said the meeting included discussions with relevant counterparts from diplomatic actors, the coast guard, port authorities and customs, as part of follow-up on existing maritime files and initiatives.
Support Since 2013
According to the statement, EUBAM has provided support to the Libyan authorities since 2013 in strengthening land, sea and air border security.
