Meteorology: Mild Weather on Tuesday; Relatively Hot Air Mass in the West From Thursday and Changeable Autumn Conditions From Saturday
LIBYA – The National Meteorological Centre forecast no major change in weather conditions today, Tuesday 8 September 2026, and tomorrow, Wednesday, across most areas of the country, with temperatures remaining relatively mild and within seasonal norms.
The centre said temperatures would range between 29°C and 36°C in northern areas, with high humidity especially along the coast, while temperatures in central and southern areas would range between 35°C and 40°C.
Relatively Hot Air Mass From Thursday
The centre forecast that western areas would be affected from Thursday by a relatively hot air mass, contributing to a rise in temperatures, particularly inland, with southerly winds.
Changeable Autumn Conditions From Saturday Evening
The centre also forecast changeable autumn conditions from Saturday evening, with a gradual fall in temperatures, noting a build-up of thunderclouds over some border areas with Tunisia and parts of Al-Jabal Al-Gharbi.
