Musa Al-Koni reviews efforts to unify the army
LIBYA – Presidential Council member Musa Al-Koni, in his capacity as “supreme commander of the Libyan army”, discussed on Wednesday with members of the 5+5 Joint Military Commission from the western region developments in the military and security situations and efforts to unify the military institution.
Briefing on security updates and the committee’s work programme
During the meeting at the Presidential Palaces compound, committee members presented a briefing on efforts to unify the army and the main military and security developments in the western region amid current challenges, as well as upcoming steps in the committee’s work programme.
Call for coordination and building a professional military institution
Al-Koni praised the committee members’ efforts, stressing the need for continued coordination and communication among the various military parties in order to build a unified military institution on professional and national foundations that safeguard Libya’s security and sovereignty and strengthen stability across its regions.
