Brega Confirms 95-Octane Petrol Cargo Arrives in Tripoli as Distribution Continues

New 95-octane petrol cargo unloaded in Tripoli

LIBYA – Brega Oil Marketing Company spokesman Ahmed Al-Maslati has confirmed that operations continue at Tripoli port and that a cargo of 95-octane petrol has been unloaded.

Second tanker and temporary slowdown

In comments to the Al-Raed news network, which is close to the Justice and Construction Party, the political arm of the Muslim Brotherhood, Al-Maslati said another tanker carrying 95-octane petrol arrived on Wednesday to bolster the volumes available for distribution.

He said supply operations may slow temporarily while tankers are swapped and work shifts between unloading and filling.

Call to distribution companies

He confirmed that fuel is available and that unloading, filling and supply operations are continuing, urging distribution companies to speed up collection of their allocations and move them regularly to filling stations.

He stressed that the company’s teams are continuing to work to ensure fuel reaches stations smoothly.
