Hajj lottery results await final approval
LIBYA – The General Authority for Hajj and Umrah has announced that the Hajj lottery for the 1448 AH/2027 season has been completed across Libya at eight draw centres.
Eight centres, draw at 10am
Speaking by phone on a news bulletin of Libya Al-Ahrar TV, which broadcasts from Turkey and was followed by Al-Marsad, the authority’s head, Ibrahim Al-Saghir, said the draw was held at exactly 10am at all of the authority’s accredited centres in an atmosphere of full transparency and calm, in the presence of a number of observers from oversight and audit bodies.
Results checked against population and Saudi quota
Al-Saghir said work was continuing non-stop to verify the lottery results and sort the numbers according to each region’s share of the population and the places made available by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, adding that the results will be approved by next Sunday at the latest at an official meeting of the authority’s leadership.
