Meteorology: Stable Weather, Slight Temperature Rise in the West, Cooler Conditions Expected Early Next Week

Temperatures up to 35°C in the west with stable weather over the next two days

LIBYA – The National Meteorological Centre forecast that most areas of the country would be affected by a high-pressure system bringing stable weather from today, Wednesday 7 October 2026, and over the next two days.

29 to 35°C in western areas

The centre said temperatures would see a slight increase in western Libya today and over the next two days, ranging from 29 to 35°C during the day, with southerly winds.

24 to 29°C in the north-east

It said daytime temperatures in north-eastern areas would range from 24 to 29°C, with a gradual and slight rise expected over the next two days.

29 to 34°C in southern areas

In southern areas, daytime temperatures would range from 29 to 34°C.

More cloud and cooler early next week

The centre forecast cloud building over north-western areas early next week, coinciding with a fall in temperatures and a shift to northerly winds.
