Western floods disrupt services and strand residents
Libya – A photo report published by the international site The National covered the severe floods that recently struck several areas in western Libya after heavy rainfall.
Power and water cuts and infrastructure damage
The report, which Al-Marsad followed and translated, said the floods had disrupted basic services after residents were stranded by mudflows that cut off their areas.
It pointed to cuts in electricity and water supplies, while infrastructure was damaged.
Rescue teams free people trapped
The report added that rescue teams worked to free people trapped in vehicles swept away by the floods.
