Al-Takbali ties “4+4” to rearranging institutions
LIBYA – House of Representatives member Ali Al-Takbali said the US move goes beyond a political proposal open to debate.
US influence and the UN track
In remarks exclusively to Al-Ain News, Al-Takbali said what he calls the “American deal” has already begun, and that chances of changing its course would not be great unless shifts occur in the balance of international power or in the international track itself.
Al-Takbali considered US influence a key factor driving the new arrangements, while the UN track does not appear far from American orientations.
“4+4” within new political and military arrangements
Al-Takbali linked these moves — related to reshaping some political and military frameworks, and to the House of Representatives’ approval of a proposal to form a “4+4” committee — as a step that could contribute to rearranging institutions and pushing the parties towards understanding.
