Investigations into education activity licences
Libya – The Public Prosecution has ordered the detention of a former director of the National Centre for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Educational and Training Institutions, as part of an investigation into irregularities in licences to practise educational activity and into the appointment of officials responsible for granting them in violation of legislation.
Allegations of illicit material benefits
The Public Prosecution said the prosecutor at the Attorney General’s Office confronted the administration official with evidence that he had induced 80 interested parties to pay illicit material benefits in return for being granted licences to practise educational activity.
