After the first Sirte meeting — next gathering of specialised chiefs of staff expected at Mitiga Air Base in Tripoli
Libya – The chief of staff of the air force in Tripoli, Major General Emhamed al-Seifaw, praised the efforts of the chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, General Khaled Haftar, and the chief of the General Staff in Tripoli, Staff Major General Salah al-Namroush, in convening joint meetings of the specialised chiefs of staff, stressing the importance of these gatherings in supporting the unification of the military institution.
Strengthening understanding and coordination
Speaking to the Libyan News Agency (LANA) after the first meeting of specialised chiefs of staff, held on Wednesday in Sirte, al-Seifaw said senior military leaders were keen to strengthen understanding and coordination among the different components of the military institution.
He added: “We salute the senior military leadership — General Khaled Haftar and Staff Major General Salah al-Namroush — for their understandings and their commitment. Their instructions to us, the specialised chiefs of staff, are to be carried out, and that is what we will work on.”
Next meeting at Mitiga
Al-Seifaw said the next meeting of specialised chiefs of staff would be held, subject to approval by both General Staffs, at Mitiga Air Base in the capital, Tripoli.
He also conveyed his regards to the chief of the General Staff, General Khaled Haftar, stressing that the specialised chiefs of staff bear responsibility for working for the military institution, and that the primary goal is Libya and the unification of the military institution.
