Italian interest in the Greater Benghazi initiative — talks on construction, technology and services
Libya – An economic report highlighted that Italian companies have begun partnership and contracting talks linked to reconstruction projects in the city of Benghazi.
More than 40 firms in Greater Benghazi
The report, published by the Italian news agency Nova and followed by Al-Marsad for its main points, said more than 40 Italian companies took part in events of the Greater Benghazi urban planning initiative.
Meetings paving the way for partnerships and contracts
According to the report, the companies held a series of meetings with stakeholders and interested parties from various countries, and presented their products, services and expertise in architectural and civil engineering, construction, technology and services — steps that could develop into partnerships and contracts.
The report noted that Benghazi is witnessing an urban renaissance across different areas under directives from the General Command and with direct follow-up by the commander-in-chief of the armed forces, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar.
